13 East Hants Stingrays entered and swam so well at their first Dal Sprint Meet (a winter swim meet). Go Stingrays Go!!
Every Child Matters Each of The East Hants Stingrays swimmers recieved an orange swim cap to bring awareness and funds for National Truth and Reconciliation Day. Since 2022, over a hundred swim clubs have taken part, helping raise more than $24,000 in support of Indigenous swimming programs. These funds are being used to launch a mentorship initiative designed to empower Indigenous youth in competitive swimming. The East Hants Stingrays will wear their orange caps with pride to help bring awareness within their East Hants Community.
What a weekend the East Hants Stingrays had in Lunenburg at the Nova Scotia Summer Swimming Provincials!! Individual events: 11 Gold Medals 13 Silver Medals 13 Bronze Medals 87 individual top 10 finishes! 7 members of the East Hants Stingrays, along with their Coach Troy, represented Nova Scotia at the East Coast Games in Quispamsis, NB in a team of 25 swimmer athletes. Those 7 Stingray swimmers came home with an unbelievable haul of gold medals! There were 15 individual golds as well as 9 relay golds. They also took home over 30 ribbons for 2nd through 7th place! We are Stingray PROUD
A huge congratulations to Connor and Lexie who were chosen to represent Nova Scotia at the Canadian Pool Lifesaving Championships. Both went off to Windsor, Ontario this spring to challenge their skills and abilities against the best Lifesaving athletes in the country.
