2025-2026 Maintenance Program:
The East Hants Stingrays have 3 skill leveled swimming groups:
MANTA RAYS: Manta Ray Swimmers swim in a fun, challenging and supportive atmosphere where swimmers are able to fine tune their technical swimming skills. Swimmers participate in challenging training to achieve their personal goals.
ELECTRIC RAYS: Electric Ray swimmers are working towards mastery of swimming techniques for all strokes, turns, and starts of competitive swimming.
WHIPTAIL RAYS: Whiptail Ray swimmers are the introductory group to competitive swimming. They are introduced to the basic skills in the four competitive strokes, as well as starts and turns.
Requirments: Age 8-18, Swim Level 5 or equivalent, must be comfortable in deep water and be able to swim 25m non-stop, unassisted
Maintenance Training:
- Two 1 hour practices per week allow swimmers to practice swimming drills and skills to further develop their competitive swimming techniques while having fun with their East Hants Stingray Teammates.
- Winter Maintenance is held in 3 sessions during the Summer Swimming off-season:
September - December (Fall)
January - March (Winter)
April - May (Spring)
**A Swimmer Insurance fee is required to be paid to Swim Nova Scotia. This insurance cost is a one time fee of $112.00 that covers the entire 2025-2026 swim season (September 2025 - August 2026) and is included in the Fall Maintenance fee.**
All returning Stingrays taking part in 2025-2026 Maintenance Training Program are asked to rejoin the team with the intention of being part of our competitive Summer Season (June - August 2026) by participating in a minimum of 1 swim meet throughout the summer, as well as The Nova Scotia Summer Swimming Provincials at the end of the season.
